VISA is the world's largest electronic network. How COOL is that?

VISA Inc. is based on San Francisco, California, USA.

VISA can be found in any part of the WORLD!!! 

Except in Antarctica ofcourse...unless Penguins use it....hmmmm... (that's not funny? okay..)

UNFORTUNATELY, as far as I know, there are only 2 banks here in the Philippines that is affiliated with VISA.

GO FOR UNIONBANK AND CITIBANK.

What is Interbank Network?

INTERBANK NETWORK

or

ATM CONSORTIUM

or

ATM NETWORK

is a computer network  that connects the ATM (Automated Teller Machine)  of different banks and permits these ATMs to interact with the ATM cards of non-native banks.

That is why we are able to withdraw cash on any ATM MACHINES where (our) Bank is a Network Member.

BDO ATM Debit Card Anatomy

The BDO Card Numbers and Card Holder's Name are not encrypted, they are printed with a laser, in which you will not be able to erase. And these type of laser printing likely stay for 100 years. So, it is okay, because your card is only valid 10 years of use.

I like the BDO CARD because your account number is not written or printed on the card, because if your card got stolen, it can be easily hacked if they know your account number. So, that is really great.

Also, there is the PIN CODE (3 digit number on the back of the card) - this is also used for security purposes, especially when you are purchasing online, you will be ask about the 3 digit pin code of your card.

When you are paying online for goods and services that you acquired, you will only be ask to give your

16 DIGIT CARD NUMBER and

3 DIGIT PIN CODE.

NEVER NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER!

Paypal Philippines

Paypal is a great website and tool for managing your payments online.

It is a great way to secure your debit or credit card number, so your card will not get hacked.

In other words - it is safer and easier to pay and receive money online.

Luckily, Paypal had already come to the Philippines, but, UNFORTUNATELY, it has setbacks, and limitations unlike the Paypal in the US and other countries.

Philippines is under the SEND.RECEIVE.WITHDRAW Services of Paypal in our country.

I, personally had used paypal in paying a 2 dollar stuff online, and it was successful.

So, I tried adding more funds from my bank account to my paypal because I wanted to buy a $100 value online.

So, I tried adding funds, but it failed.

I got really frustrated!

Because of this, I had to cancel out my order online, because I couldn't get access to my account.

So, I did a few research about Paypal Services in the Philippines. And I found a lot of forums and people discussing about it, and having the same problem as mine.

My bank is Banco de Oro, and it is the one linked through my PayPal.

LUCKILY!!!, I have found a bank which is in support of PayPal - that is the
UNION BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES.

I am opening an account in UNIONBANK!!!!
But I will still keep my BDO account, I love BDO..

What is Internet Banking?

Internet Banking - enables you to access your account statements through the internet.

You can also call it, your online passbook.

However, before you can access your statement of accounts, you have to enroll to the bank where you have your account like Banco de Oro.

Internet banking is very popular to those who love to shop online, because after they purchase online - they could easily see the statements and updates of their accounts.

However, again, you have to be careful shopping online using your debit or credit cards because of the possibility and risk of account hacking.

BUT, if you still wanted to shop online, you have to see and check the credibility of the website or online store. OR, you can also create an account in PAYPAL for the security of your bank accounts.
